4G41 Neptune Engine Restoration Project (Emith, Thomas, Vinuda)

As a person who is obsessed with learning and working on automobile mechanical things, my two friends and I started a project to restore an old engine (Model: 4G41 Mitsubishi Neptune 1.4L Engine) that was abandoned in a shed. The following is everything we've done so far."

Project Overview

Our goal is to completely disassemble the engine, understand the purpose of every nut and bolt, and rebuild it to make it run again. (This project is driven by our passion for vehicle mechanics, and while we may have made some mistakes along the way, each step has been a valuable learning experience.)

Project Progress...

Day 1 : We successfully disassembled the engine head. It was initially challenging to loosen all the nuts and bolts because they were very rusty due to the engine being old and abandoned. However, as we progressed further, it became less of a problem.

Day 2 : We now successfully disassembled the entire engine and arranged all the individual parts

 

Day 3 : We began cleaning all the rust and preparing the engine block and other parts for rebuilding.
